CoCopac supplies specialist absorbent packaging for soft-fruit punnets and trays. Our products help manage light levels of moisture while also supporting cushioning, presentation and fit within the finished pack.
We primarily work with tray and punnet manufacturers supplying growers and retail produce chains. Pads can be developed around the fruit, tray dimensions, material requirements and production format, with cut-pad and reel-fed options available.

Soft fruit places different demands on packaging from meat or fish. The emphasis is usually on managing light surface moisture without using unnecessary absorbency, while also protecting delicate produce and maintaining a clean appearance within the punnet.

How are fruit pads different from meat or fish pads?
Fruit pads generally have much lower absorbency. Their role is usually to manage light surface moisture while also contributing to cushioning and presentation, rather than absorbing the higher fluid volumes associated with meat or fish packs.
Are paper-based fruit pads available?
Yes. The majority of CoCopac’s current fruit-pad production uses paper-based materials with a high cellulose content. The exact construction should be chosen around the moisture, tray and end-of-life requirements.
Are coated fruit pads also available?
Yes. Polyethylene-coated options are available where a different balance of cushioning and moisture management is required. Our team can help compare the options for the intended pack.
