Specialist Packaging for Dairy Products
CoCopac supplies specialist food-contact papers and films for cheese, butter and other selected dairy applications. Products can support ageing, wrapping, moisture management, interleaving, release and cold-storage requirements.
Packaging developed around dairy products
Dairy packaging needs to perform reliably in direct contact with products that may contain high levels of fat and moisture. The right material will depend on whether the product is being aged, wrapped, stored, separated or processed, together with the temperature and level of release required.
Specialist Dairy Applications
Our materials are used across cheese ageing, cut-cheese wrapping, butter and selected food-production applications. Each requirement is considered individually because the best material for ageing a cheese may not be the right option for wrapping a portion at the point of sale.
Bespoke Papers and Formats
Products can be supplied in sheets, reels and bespoke dimensions to suit the dairy product, production method and packaging process. Existing samples and specifications can also be reviewed to help establish the required construction and performance.
Dairy Packaging Products
Crepe Paper
Cellulose-based absorbent paper for selected cheese-ageing and storage applications. Its raised texture helps manage light levels of surface moisture beneath or around the product.
Wax-Coated Paper
A traditional moisture-resistant and breathable paper for wrapping cheese and other chilled dairy products. It is particularly suited to cut portions prepared for deli, foodservice or point-of-sale use.
Siliconised Vegetable Parchment
A high wet-strength release paper for butter and other demanding dairy applications involving moisture, grease or sticking. The silicone surface provides effective release, although label adhesion should be considered where labels are applied directly to the paper.
Film
Clear food-contact film can be converted for wrapping and presenting selected artisan cheese and chilled dairy products. Storage conditions and the potential for condensation should be considered before the film is specified.

Dairy Packaging FAQs
Common questions about selecting food-contact papers and films for cheese, butter and other dairy applications.
Which paper can be used during cheese ageing?
Crepe paper can be used beneath selected cheeses during ageing or storage to help manage light levels of surface moisture. The grade and dimensions should be selected around the cheese and ageing process.
What material is suitable for wrapping cut cheese?
Wax-coated paper is a traditional choice for wrapping cut cheese and chilled dairy products. It combines moisture resistance with a degree of breathability, making it suitable for many deli and point-of-sale applications.
Can film be used for cheese packaging?
Clear food-contact film can be used for selected cheese wrapping and presentation applications. However, the storage conditions and risk of condensation or sweating should be considered before a film is chosen.
What information is important when selecting dairy packaging?
The main considerations include direct food contact, moisture, fat content, storage temperature, release, wet strength, breathability, dimensions and whether the material needs to accept a label or seal.
